Lobbying (not just
monitoring):
Elected representatives need the input that a strong association
provides. The AGC of NH represents the construction industry's
interests, and acts as a liaison between the membership and the
government bodies at both the state and federal levels. The AGC is a
natural gathering place for industry points of view and gives
contractors a voice in the law-making process.

A
Safer Road to Tomorrow:
AGC and
it’s members founded the Safer Road to Tomorrow Initiative in
2004 to raise awareness about the conditions of NH roads.
AGC has partnered with the NH BIA, Safety Council,
Tourism, Chiefs of Police, and other associations, to help make
NH roads safer in order to build a better quality of life and
improve economic development.

AGC has a number of different

AGC
Update: This
bi-weekly newsletter is a life-line for contractors,
subcontractors and industry professionals who want keep up with
industry developments in NH. The publication is mailed to over
300 individuals throughout New Hampshire and New England, it
contains current information on construction issues, news, AGC
functions, safety training, legislative updates, and trends
affecting the industry. The newsletter also includes the plans
room listing and project low bid results in every issue. Advertising

New
Hampshire construction industry directory: Each
year the AGC of NH publishes its Construction Industry Directory, listing
building and highway contractor members, subcontractor members, and
associates. These directories are distributed to cities, towns, and school
districts throughout New Hampshire, selected architects and engineers, and
other prospective owners. The directory has been designed, not only as an
annual listing of our membership, but to advertise company services to the
general public. In this directory we also supply information as a
reference tool for prospective project owners who are interested in
guidelines for running a successful project and hiring AGC contractors and
subcontractors. |

AGC Contract Documents and Publications:
Available to members at a discounted rate, AGC contract documents,
publications and videos are available through the National
AGC e-Store. The AGC of America is continually updating and increasing
it’s publications inventory to meet the needs of a changing industry.

for the Industry: Our website
allows members the privilege of accessing many different aspects
of the latest industry information that will be very useful for
their business.
- AGC of NH Website Members Only Area: Many
areas of the AGC of NH website are "locked" and are only
accessible by AGC members with valid usernames and passwords. These areas
provide our members with valuable information to use in their business.

Website Access Levels: All AGC
of NH members are granted access all of this websites "private
pages," except for the committee and board minutes pages. In
order to gain access to the committee pages, you must actively participate
in an AGC of NH committee. Only board members are granted access to
the Board of Directors pages. We also allow special access to the
bidders information pages to public officials and design professionals who
provide us with plans of upcoming projects for our plans room.

AGC of

This is why AGC of NH continuously
offers affordable, top-notch seminars and training programs to keep up
with the current state, federal, and OSHA requirements.
Other
Benefits Include...
Plans Room: The AGC of NH maintains
plans for commercial and industrial projects across the state. Plans are
generously donated or lent to the AGC by various architects and engineers
throughout NH and New England. Members are welcome to visit the Plans Room
during AGC office hours (M-F, 8-5). Special
permission is necessary to borrow plans from the Plans Room.
Workers Compensation Group Insurance Program:
In 1995 the association put together, in cooperation with Liberty Mutual
Insurance, a Worker’s Compensation Group Program that offers preferred
rates to AGC of NH members and offers dividends paid at the end of each
year. This program is available to AGC of NH members who meet certain
underwriting criteria.
Safety Video Loan
Program: The chapter
office maintains a video library and inventory of over one hundred
safety videos which are available for members to borrow on a weekly
basis. These videos are frequently used by safety personnel of AGC
member firms to train employees on safe work practices, proper methods,
and current regulations.
