Senate Kills Gas Tax 18-6
The full Senate voted to indefinitely postpone increasing New Hampshire's gas tax on Thursday, May 23. Eighteen Senators agreed with the motion that was made by Senator Andy Sanborn, with six voting in opposition. What does this decision mean? Three Financial Issues Contractors Should Know About
Rusty Mosca & Muriel Schadee gave members excellent insight into construction finances during their March 26 seminar at the AGC of NH chapter office. In addition to highlighting important financial items as they relate to the new tax structure, they also pointed out three tax-saving measures contractors can use– Bonus Depreciation, Research & Development Tax Credit, and Manufacturers' Deduction. New I-9 Form Required Starting May
Starting in May, employers will be required to use a new I-9 form for new hires, re-verification, and rehires. The updated form was updated to include new fields and reduce errors.
