AGC of NH is a part of the national organization, AGC of America. The organization was formed in 1918 by a request from President Woodrow Wilson. President Wilson recognized the construction industry’s national importance and desired a partner with which the government could discuss and plan for the advancement of the nation. In today’s construction industry, AGC of America is the voice of contractors in Washington, D.C. They pro- actively lobby for sustaining economic growth, including reducing regulatory burden, increasing transportation investment, and more.

In addition to their legislative activeness, AGC of America is a great source of information. The national organization offers a host of resources on their website,
www.agc.org. Most information is free to use for members, and covers a range of topics including building, highway, federal, environment, and economic topics.

AGC of America also has a comprehensive online bookstore that houses many of the industries leading publications such as the MUTCD guidelines, Highway Safety Worker Program, and more. AGC members receive discounts on publications purchased through the online bookstore.
